National Education Nature Park: an opportunity to support young geographers

Many professional geographers seek opportunities to undertake outreach with schools, both to share their experiences and to inspire young people into geographical careers.  

This webinar is an opportunity to learn more about how professionals can get involved with outreach, allowing learners to meet people using geographical knowledge and skills in the work place. We will be linking this to the National Education Nature Park which aims to empower children and young people to make a positive difference to both their own and nature's future. The Society is contributing to this project, funded by DfE and led by the Natural History Museum, with RHS and other partners.

Examples of the activities supported include using the National Education Nature Park platform, built using ArcGIS (Esri), and standalone tools, to gather information on their school site before planning follow-on work to build the Nature Park.
